THE BPM FESTIVAL 2009 RECAP

January 2009 welcomed in the hugely successful second installment of The BPM Festival.  While the attendance increased dramatically, the festival maintained it’s ambience and warmth of a small resort town setting.

Set in the spectacular beach town of Playa del Carmen, Mexico, The BPM Festival provided a respite from the routines of daily life and the winter weather doldrums.  From the beach, to the pool parties, to the nightly club atmospheres, and after-parties, it’s hard to imagine a more fitting setting to host a festival for the dance music cognoscenti trying to shake off the winter blues.  Located in the heart of the Riviera Maya, Playa del Carmen offers its guests an incredible variety of cultural experiences & activities for every taste.

The BPM Festival team would like to thank C.P. Carlos Joaquin Gonzalez (Secretary of Tourism of Quintana Roo State), The Mexico Tourism Board, Bud Light, all of the very talented artists, event venues and all of their staff, our BPM staff, and everyone who participated to make this year’s event possible.  But, most importantly, we would like to thank everyone who came from around the world to this year’s Festival, and made it yet another breathtaking experience to be remembered.

Over the next month, www.thebpmfestival.com website will be updated with photography and footage from all of this year’s events, as well as DJ set downloads available for your listening enjoyment.   We will also be announcing next year’s festival dates, and other information as it becomes available.
